Seller verification

What each seller badge means

Badges describe the seller after a manual audit by our team. They are not a statement about any individual lot.

Verification Pending

Documents submitted or incomplete. The seller can list, but no trust badge is displayed until the manual audit is completed.

  • Business and identity documents received or still awaited
  • Manual audit by the e-Age World team not yet completed
  • No badge is shown, whatever the number of transactions

Dispute resolution

Raising and resolving a dispute

Initial acknowledgement within 1 business day; resolution target 3 business days for straightforward cases and up to 7 business days for complex ones. These are policy targets, not unconditional guarantees.

  1. 1. Raise the dispute

Contact our desk on WhatsApp or email with your order ID within the reporting window (Within 3 business days of delivery or pickup). Keep the consignment and packing material as received until the review closes.

  2. 2. Acknowledgement

We acknowledge the dispute and assign a reference number within 1 business day, and tell you what additional evidence is needed.

  3. 3. Review

Your evidence is compared with the lot listing, manifest, condition grade, quotation terms and the seller's dispatch documentation. The seller is asked to respond within the same window.

  4. 4. Outcome

We aim to close straightforward cases within 3 business days and complex cases within 7 business days of receiving complete evidence.

  5. 5. Escalation

If you disagree with the outcome, reply to the same reference within 5 business days for a second review by a senior member of the team who did not handle the original case.

Evidence we need

  • Order ID or quotation reference and the GST invoice, where one was issued
  • Photographs of the outer packing, pallet wrap and any transporter seals before opening
  • A continuous unboxing or de-palletising video where a shortage or damage is claimed
  • Photographs of the affected units, including labels, serial numbers or IMEI where applicable
  • Count sheet or manifest comparison showing the shortfall against the listed contents
  • Transporter delivery challan with any damage remark recorded at the time of delivery

Possible outcomes

  • Dispute closed with an explanation where the goods match the listed condition, grade and manifest
  • Partial credit note or price adjustment for a verified shortage or off-grade units
  • Replacement units from the same or a comparable lot, where the seller holds stock
  • Return of the affected units at an agreed cost split, where a return is practical
  • Refund of the affected portion once the return or write-off is confirmed

Usually not covered

  • Cosmetic marks that are consistent with the published condition grade for the lot
  • Claims raised after the reporting window or after the goods have been re-sold or re-packed
  • Mixed or unmanifested liquidation lots where variance was disclosed on the lot page
  • Transit damage on self-pickup consignments once the goods leave the warehouse

Dispute resolution SLA

  • Report within within 3 business days of delivery or pickup.
  • Initial acknowledgement within 1 business day.
  • Resolution target 3 business days7 business days depending on complexity.

These are policy targets, not unconditional guarantees. Complex cases involving transporter claims, third-party inspection or seller site visits can take longer; we tell you when that happens.

Before you pay

  • Always work from a written quotation or proforma invoice issued by our desk.
  • Confirm GST invoice availability and the billing entity for the specific lot.
  • Check freight, loading and insurance, which are quoted separately from goods value.
  • Never transfer funds to bank details shared over chat alone without an invoice.
